Bristol Stops Ads for Cheap, Throwaway Clothes

Bristol is the first city in Britain to ban ads for fast fashion — cheap clothes made quickly and thrown away quickly — on council-owned billboards, bus shelters, print and websites. Its Green-run council passed the rule 8-1. Leaders say they want people to see fewer polluting products and choose options kinder to the climate.
