CME Group promotes Fitzpatrick to CEO; Duffy to step back in 2027

Lynne Fitzpatrick will become CEO of CME Group—the world's largest marketplace for trading futures contracts—in March 2027. Terry Duffy, who has led the company for two decades, will remain as Executive Chairman. Fitzpatrick is currently President and Chief Financial Officer. The transition was set in motion last November when CME signaled Duffy's exit timeline.
