MediaTek announces powerful new Dimensity 9600 Pro phone chip

MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9600 Pro, its most powerful chip for smartphones. It is the first MediaTek chip made with TSMC's 2-nanometer method, a factory technique that builds parts extremely small, like fitting more rooms in the same house. The company displayed it in Taipei, Taiwan on September 11, 2026.
