Borrowing could cost more if US rates rise toward 4%

Economists expect America's central bank to raise its main interest rate — like the thermostat for borrowing — by a quarter point to 3.75%-4.00% on Sept. 15-16, Reuters reported Sept. 14. That would make loans pricier but savings pay more. I'll believe it when the vote happens.
