OpenAI Buys Phone Photo Company for Over $300 Million

OpenAI has bought Los Altos firm Glass Imaging, founded in 2019, for over $300 million, the Wall Street Journal reported via TechCrunch on Sept. 14, 2026. The company makes phone-camera software using AI that cleans up pictures as they are taken, like glasses correcting vision, adjusted for each phone model.
