X and xAI Drop Apple, Keep OpenAI Lawsuit

X Corp and xAI asked a Texas federal court on Sept. 14, 2026, to drop Apple from their lawsuit over unfair competition. They had accused Apple of hiding the Grok assistant in its app shop and giving special treatment to ChatGPT in its phones’ AI tools. The lawsuit against OpenAI continues.
