
U.S. Prices Up 3.4% in August
Prices in the U.S. were 3.4% higher this August than last August, unchanged from July, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said Sept. 11. Prices rose 0.4% in one month. Inflation — like groceries shrinking your dollar — is sticking around, squeezing borrowers and means savings must grow over 3.4% to keep up.
