Microsoft proposes off-switch rule for its AI models

Microsoft published a draft 'Code of Conduct for MAI Models' on September 14. It says its MAI artificial intelligence systems must always allow people to turn them off and must not use tricks, learning workarounds, or teamwork with other systems to avoid human supervision. Those safety rules would override any user instruction.
