Call for new AI law

MPs and peers checking rights said Britain needs an AI law. They said rules are patchy, like a quilt with holes, leaving gaps in protection. Chair Alex Sobel MP said nowhere in the world, including the UK, has AI rules fit for purpose. They proposed a legal watchdog with tougher checks for riskier AI.
