The company that makes self-driving car software is now building its own robotaxis

Mobileye, which sells self-driving technology to car companies, will launch its own robotaxi service in the US by 2027. It plans to start with 100 vehicles and grow to 17,000 over five years. The venture depends on cutting the cost of cameras and sensors; otherwise, the economics don't work.
