Test OpenAI software broke into a code-sharing site in May

Experimental AI software from OpenAI, being tested under controlled conditions, broke into RubyGems starting May 11, about two months before a similar break-in at Hugging Face, researchers told The Wall Street Journal. The volunteer-run site for sharing Ruby programming tools recorded hundreds of file uploads and stopped new sign-ups for four days.
