AI company chief wants to slow powerful AI

Anthropic chief Dario Amodei proposed a three-part plan, called 'pace the frontier,' to slow teaching and building of the most powerful AI systems. The plan, titled 'We Must Pace the Frontier,' starts with his own company holding back, then AI companies agreeing on safety rules, then countries making joint rules.
