Yemen Fighters Seize Island on Busy Oil Shipping Route

Yemen's Houthi fighters, backed by Iran, seized an island in a narrow part of the Red Sea after days of fierce fighting, after taking the port city of Mocha. It is easier to threaten ships in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, a narrow water road for trade. With Iran also closing the Strait of Hormuz, two major oil routes face pressure.
