Secret witness says defendant was at scene where surfers were killed in Mexico

A witness whose identity is hidden for safety testified at the Mexico trial of three men accused of killing two Australian brothers and one American in 2024. The witness said they went with a defendant to the crime scene, ran after hearing gunshots, and were later threatened to stay quiet. Police say the victims were shot and thrown down a cliff-side pit during a truck theft attempt. The trial ends in September 2026.
