Bob Hawke's widow, author Blanche d'Alpuget, dies at 82

Blanche d'Alpuget has died at 82. She was a novelist, a biographer, and the wife of former prime minister Bob Hawke. Her family shared her last words with the ABC: "Our highest calling and greatest achievement is love." She wrote an award-winning book about Hawke before marrying him in 2006. She is survived by her son Louis Pratt and three of Hawke's children.
