
Greens' $6b plan would turn 120 supermarkets into government-owned stores
The Green Party has proposed a $6 billion plan called "KiwiMart" that would make New Zealand's two biggest supermarket companies sell 120 stores and two warehouses to the government. Co-leader Chlöe Swarbrick said this would help break the two companies' hold on the market. It is part of the party's wider food affordability policy.
