Popular Online Coding Tool Used in Schools Shutting Down This August

Trinket, a free online tool that lets students write and run code from any browser, closes in August 2026. All student work and lesson files disappear. Teachers have seven weeks to save or move their classes elsewhere. The shutdown affects under-resourced schools most, since teachers will have to handle the migration themselves with minimal outside help.
