Marine One Loses Radio Contact Again on Day Safety Board Faults Earlier Communication Lapses

On August 27, the same day safety investigators blamed poor communication for an August 4 close call between the president's helicopter and a small passenger jet, air traffic controllers briefly lost radio contact with the helicopter again. The FAA had moved an antenna and changed rules after the first incident. The temporary White House takeoff site remains worth watching.
