Linux Can Now Fully Work With Windows Files

Linux kernel 7.1 adds built-in support for reading and writing Windows-format files directly, replacing an older, limited approach. People who run both Linux and Windows on the same machine, or organizations managing both, no longer need extra software to access those files.
