
Banned Pesticides Found in Common Tea and Spices Sold in Europe
A lab test found banned pesticide residues in 45 of 64 samples of rice, tea, and spices. Paprika, chili, cumin, and green tea showed the highest contamination. While the amounts met safety limits, these chemicals are prohibited for growing crops in the EU—exposing a loophole that allows banned imports if they stay below thresholds.
