Cambridge's Youngest Black Professor Found Dead After Quitting During Cheating Investigation

Jason Arday, Cambridge University's youngest ever Black professor, was found dead at a home linked to him, the New York Times reported on 14 August 2026. Police have not said how he died. Arday had quit on 6 August while the university was checking whether he had copied someone else's work — a rule-breaking called plagiarism. That review never finished.
