Camera Company Adds Privacy Rules After Officers Caught Stalking

Flock Safety runs 120,000 cameras across the US that scan car license plates. On August 14, it added privacy rules after at least 50 officers were accused, charged, or convicted of using the cameras to stalk people they knew. Now data is deleted faster, searches need a reason, suspicious activity triggers automatic lockouts, and information sharing between police departments is limited.
