Prime Minister catches his own MPs by surprise over voting system call

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon called an urgent meeting of his National Party MPs after surprising them on talkback radio by suggesting a vote on whether to change New Zealand's voting system. MP Chris Bishop backed Luxon and told colleagues to stop leaking. The election is 90 days away. Former PM Sir John Key was reported calling about Luxon's leadership.
