UK Runs Out of Eclipse Glasses Before 12 August Sun Event

Special glasses for safely watching the Sun are sold out across the UK before the 12 August eclipse, when the Moon will cover up to 96% of the Sun. Online orders may arrive too late. Astronomer Neill Sanders, who brought in 300,000 pairs, blames last-minute shopping, not a real shortage. Officials say regular sunglasses will not protect your eyes.
