Houthi Strikes Kill 30 Yemeni Soldiers, Shattering 2022 UN Truce

Houthi missiles and drones struck military camps in Yemen's Hadramout and Marib provinces on August 7, 2026, killing at least 30 government soldiers and wounding 15. It was the first major Houthi attack on government forces inside Yemen in years, breaking the April 2022 UN-sponsored truce. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree claimed the group acted after detecting a Saudi military mobilization.
