Signal Adds Multi-Phone Linking: Users Can Now Sync a Second Android or iPhone

Signal now lets users link a second phone — Android or iPhone — to their account for the first time. Previously, only desktops and iPads could sync with a primary phone. The update shipped in Signal 8.20 (Android) and 8.22 (iOS). Up to five secondary devices can link simultaneously; per-device message history transfer is opt-in to limit exposure on shared or compromised hardware.
