Gaza Mass Funeral Held for 112 Victims Recovered From 2023 Strike Rubble

A mass funeral was held in Gaza for 112 people whose remains were recovered from the rubble of a November 2023 Israeli strike on a multi-storey building in Gaza City's Sabra neighbourhood. Civil Defence spokesman Mohammed Basel said roughly 180 civilians were inside, around 90% killed. Crews could not reach the site for years because access required coordination with Israel via the ICRC. Dozens more bodies are believed to remain unrecovered at the site.
