Seymond splits from Luxon's apology, says 'parent-child mentality' comments valid in some cases
Deputy Prime Minister David Seymour publicly split from Prime Minister Christopher Luxon's apology over Luxon's 'parent-child mentality' remarks about businesses, saying the description was valid in some cases. 'There are some people who call themselves business people yet always have their hand out to the government,' Seymour said on 2 August. Luxon declined to speak for his deputy.
