Iran Rejects Trump's Claim of August 3 US-Iran Talks

Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said on August 3 that no US-Iran talks are planned, directly contradicting Trump's claim the night before that negotiations would begin that day. Baghaei said Iran has no plans to receive or send a delegation and is focused instead on negotiations with Oman over the Strait of Hormuz.
