Moscow Restaurant Bombing: Guard Stopped Bomber at Door, Three Killed

A homemade bomb detonated at the entrance of the Balzi Rossi Italian restaurant on Moscow's Kudrinskaya Square on August 1, 2026, after a security guard stopped a woman carrying explosives from entering during a private event. The guard, the woman, and a customer were killed; 21 were wounded. Russian authorities have not identified a perpetrator or motive.
