Samsung's DX Division — covering mobile, TVs, and appliances — posted its first-ever quarterly loss of 800 billion won ($544 million) in Q2 2026, concentrated in the MX (Mobile eXperience) category. The cause: rising memory-chip prices that delivered record profits to Samsung's semiconductor business simultaneously drove up component costs for its own smartphones.
