Australia's first nationwide AusAlert test on 27 July 2026 reached 94% of targeted cell towers, Minister Kristy McBain confirmed. Yet some Australians — including iPhone 17 Pro users — received nothing. McBain cited coverage gaps, outdated software, and incompatible devices.
