Ryan Gosling Cast as Ghost Rider in Standalone MCU Film Directed by Shawn Levy

Marvel announced at its San Diego Comic-Con 2026 Hall H panel that Ryan Gosling will play Johnny Blaze in a standalone Ghost Rider film, directed by Shawn Levy and slated for 2028. It is the first supernatural-horror property to receive a confirmed standalone film in the current MCU. The character previously appeared in earlier non-MCU iterations.
