PM Burnham pledges to publicly disagree with Trump when British interests require it

In his first major broadcast interview as prime minister, Andy Burnham told the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg he would publicly disagree with Donald Trump when British interests require it. "You have to defend your own national interest before anything else," he said. Burnham, described as a foreign-policy novice, has spoken to Trump by phone but not yet met him in person.
