Fourth Firefighter Dies From Colorado Knowles Fire Burnover

Nathan Matthews, 43, of Lincoln, Nebraska, died July 24 from burns sustained in the June 27 Knowles Fire burnover in Mesa County, Colorado, the US Interior Department confirmed. He was the fourth fatality from the incident. Three crew members died at the scene; all four had deployed emergency fire shelters. The helitack crew was fighting a fast-moving blaze near the Colorado-Utah border.
