
Pentagon Goes Silent: No Press Briefings for 10 Weeks as Iran War Casualties Climb
The Pentagon has not held a formal press briefing in over two-and-a-half months during the Iran war, now in its fifth month. Eighteen US troops have been killed and roughly 430 injured. Former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, who held weekly briefings during the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, called the silence a "deliberate effort" to "withhold information from the American people."
