Natural Gas Falls to $2.871 After Failed $3 Test

U.S. natural gas futures for August delivery settled at $2.871 per million Btu on July 24, 2026, down 4.5 cents or 1.5% on the day and 1.4% for the week, per Energy Intelligence. The contract tested $3 the prior session before retreating. EIA storage stood at 3,056 Bcf as of July 17. The August contract settles July 29.
