
SpaceX Shares Close 42% Below Post-IPO Peak After First Starship Flight Since Going Public
SpaceX stock closed at $115 on July 24, down roughly 42% from its post-IPO peak above $200, and fell 2% more in after-hours trading after the Super Heavy booster failed its landing burn. The July 24 Starship flight was the first since SpaceX's June 2026 IPO, the largest in history. The failure is the second consecutive V3 booster loss.
