Palestinian Youth International Footballer Dies After Israeli Forces Shot Him in West Bank Village

Fadi al-Nassan, 17, a Palestinian national youth team footballer, died July 18, 2026, from gunshot injuries sustained July 11. The Palestine Football Association said Israeli forces shot him in the thigh during a settler assault on al-Mughayyir, a West Bank village. Surgeons amputated his leg. Haaretz reports he was the seventh al-Mughayyir resident killed by soldiers or settlers since October 2023.
