
U.S. Shifts Counterterrorism Focus to Left-Wing Political Violence at 60-Nation Ministerial
Secretary of State Marco Rubio told leaders from more than 60 countries in Washington on July 16, 2026, that the U.S. will focus counterterrorism efforts on left-wing political violence, calling it a "blind spot" in doctrine.
