Uber to acquire Delivery Hero for $14.8bn, creating a 99-country food delivery giant

Uber agreed to buy Berlin-based Delivery Hero for $14.8bn, combining Uber Eats with brands like foodpanda, PedidosYa, and talabat across 99 countries. The combined business booked $236bn in orders in 2025. Delivery Hero's board unanimously backed the deal, expected to close in the second half of 2027 pending multi-jurisdictional antitrust review.
