Nexus Mods Announces Mandatory AI Disclosure for New Mod Uploads

Nexus Mods, the modding platform, is making AI disclosure mandatory for new mod uploads, according to a 3 November 2026 announcement. Authors must declare whether AI was used. AI-assisted mods must carry a public explanation of how and where it was used. Outright bans are not planned. Existing mods have a 60-day grace period, ending 2 January 2027.
