Nvidia's Autonomous Driving Software Now Shipping in Mercedes EVs
Nvidia's DRIVE AV platform has entered production deployment in the Mercedes-Benz CLA and newer Mercedes EVs, ending the company's years-long development cycle. The system pairs a high-performance onboard computer with redundant lidar and camera sensors, and carries ISO 26262 ASIL D certification, the top automotive safety rating. Nvidia's automotive chief acknowledged competing internally against the data-center business for chip capacity, though vehicles remain a small revenue fraction.
