Phia Suspended From Impact.com Over Cookie-Stuffing Fraud

Phia, the shopping-extension startup co-founded by Phoebe Gates, has been suspended from Impact.com, a major affiliate network, following a Bloomberg investigation that exposed cookie stuffing in July 2026. The company's browser extension was opening background tabs during checkout to override other affiliates' tracking cookies and claim unearned commission credit. Phia told Bloomberg it had fixed the issue; a Bloomberg check confirmed the behavior had stopped. The startup has raised $43.5 million to date.
