Rivian Extends Volkswagen Joint Venture to Its AI Voice Assistant

Rivian is licensing elements of its AI voice assistant to Volkswagen Group as part of their joint venture, according to its third-quarter investor presentation released October 29, 2026. The assistant rolled out in September to the R1S, R1T and R2. Rivian did not disclose licensing fees, payment terms, or which Volkswagen vehicles will use it.
