Murder inquiry launched after former Conservative minister Ann Widdecombe found dead

Ann Widdecombe, 78, the Reform UK spokeswoman and former Conservative Home Office minister, was discovered dead at her Dartmoor home Thursday morning. Devon and Cornwall Police have opened a murder investigation after finding her with serious injuries. Detectives are seeking information about a white male suspect. Widdecombe, an MP for three decades before leaving Commons in 2010, was a prominent public figure known for socially conservative positions and her move from the Conservatives to Reform.
