Weil Gotshal Hires Bankruptcy Adviser on Contingency Basis

Weil, Gotshal & Manges has hired Davis Polk bankruptcy partner Brian Resnick to advise on options if the firm's situation continues to deteriorate, the Wall Street Journal reported October 27. The engagement is contingent, not a restructuring already underway. The hire follows months of partner departures and the end of merger talks with a rival.
