Apollo's Slok finds no AI financial payoff outside tech sector

Apollo Global Management chief economist Torsten Slok's October 24 Daily Spark note says AI has delivered no financial payoff outside the tech sector. Within the S&P 493, excluding Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia and Tesla, profit margins and revenue per worker appear flat, with no evidence of AI productivity gains.
