Meta Removes "Train" Language From Business Terms on News Site Scraping
Meta has removed language from its business terms saying it would "train" its products on content scraped from news sites. The revised terms take effect October 30. Cornell's James Grimmelmann and media attorney Matt Topic say "develop" and "associated with your products or services" remain broad. Meta says the update "is not about scraping news sites."
