Video of Israeli Officer Detonating Stun Grenade Inside Civilian Car Sparks Investigation
Israeli police suspended a border police officer and opened an investigation after CCTV footage showed him throwing a stun grenade into a car with Palestinian occupants during a Qalandiya refugee camp raid on July 5. The video, released by Israeli rights group B'Tselem, shows the officer pushing the car door shut before the device detonates inside the enclosed vehicle—a use that violates published guidelines for stun grenades. All occupants survived. Police said the officer acted "not in accordance with procedure."
